Applications are now open for the MOFA Taiwan Fellowship 2027. This prestigious fellowship is offered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Taiwan to support foreign scholars and experts who want to conduct advanced research on Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, the Asia-Pacific region, or Sinology.
The program is fully funded and provides a generous monthly stipend, round-trip air ticket subsidy, and accident insurance. It is open to professors, researchers, and doctoral students from around the world. There is no application fee.

Eligibility Criteria:
You can apply if you are a foreign national and belong to one of the following groups:
- Professors, Associate Professors, or Assistant Professors
- Post-doctoral researchers
- Doctoral candidates or doctoral program students
- Research fellows at an equivalent level in overseas universities or academic institutions
Note: Candidates recommended by Taiwan’s overseas missions are also eligible. People who are already studying, teaching, or doing research in Taiwan are not eligible.

How to Apply:
- Fill out the online application form on the official website.
- Prepare the required documents:
- Resume (including publication list)
- Research proposal (about 3 pages)
- Two recommendation letters (or one recommendation + one consent letter from your institute head)
- Submit all documents to the nearest ROC (Taiwan) Embassy or Representative Office in your country for preliminary review.
- After selection, obtain a Letter of Consent from a host university or research institution in Taiwan.
