Applications are now open for the Maxwell King PhD Scholarship (MKS) at Monash University in Australia.
This prestigious fully funded scholarship supports outstanding students pursuing a PhD. It provides a generous living allowance to cover living costs while studying at a Monash campus in Australia. Two scholarships are awarded each year — one in Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and one in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
The scholarship is open to both domestic and international students. There is no application fee. Application Deadline: 31 October each year.

Eligibility Criteria:
You must meet these requirements:
- Be an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian humanitarian visa holder, or an international student
- Have submitted a scholarship application in the current year
- Meet Monash University’s competitive scholarship selection standards
- Meet Monash English language proficiency requirements
- Enrol full-time in a PhD program at a Monash campus in Australia

How to Apply:
You do not need to submit a separate application for this scholarship.
- Apply for admission to a PhD program at Monash University.
- Submit your scholarship application together with your course application through the myApp Portal.
- Eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the Maxwell King PhD Scholarship.
Important Note: This scholarship is only awarded in the 31 October round. New applicants may need an invitation from the faculty before applying. Early applications are strongly encouraged.
