University of Bonn FoodDiverse CRC 2026:Doctoral & Postdoctoral Positions in Germany

Applications are now open for the University of Bonn’s new Collaborative Research Center (CRC 1780) “Food System Diversification for Sustainable Nutrition” (FoodDiverse).

This is a fully funded research opportunity in sustainable food systems. The German Research Foundation (DFG) is supporting 24 Doctoral Researcher positions and 8 Postdoctoral Researcher positions. These roles are open to international applicants from various academic backgrounds. There is no application fee. The application deadline is 14 June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Doctoral Researchers:

  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Strong interest in sustainable food systems and interdisciplinary research
  • Excellent English language skills (both spoken and written)
  • Willingness to travel internationally for research

For Postdoctoral Researchers:

  • Have completed a PhD (Doctorate) in a relevant subject
  • Proven research experience with publications in food system-related topics
  • Strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Excellent English language skills
